The Artisan and specialty Bread making course
This course has been developed for those whom adore the taste of warm freshly baked bread straight out of the oven with lashings of real farmhouse butter. If the thought of that, is making your mouth water, then this is the course for you. On this course you will learn how to make variety of delicious bread, and better understand the age old art of bread making.
What will this class involve?
We break down the ingredients in our recipes to better understand the role or the part each component plays. At the cooking academy we find that understanding the ingredients helps in creating a better finished loaf. We make a range of different bread recipes starting at mastering the classic white crusty loaf, then branching off into variations of breads such as foccacia, fig and rosemary rolls and then even teaching how to make enriched dough that is used to make delicacies such as cinnamon rolls and doughnuts.
You will also learn how to finish breads to get a soft top loaf or make crustier loaves.
All of these techniques will enhance your repertoire so you can go on to make great bread at home.
There will also be time throughout the day where you will have the opportunity to ask our master baker questions.
