"I would like to thank you for a hugely enjoyable and informative day. My family really enjoyed the food I prepared even my son Athur who is autistic and very particular about food absolutely loved it. My wife who is pregnant thought the food was amazing even the okra dish which she didn't particularly like the sound of. I dont know if it was my cooking or your expert tuition, probably a bit of both, and thank you for your kind comments regarding my cooking.
I'd be very interested to come back for one of your Thai Courses and will be giving polite hints to relatives on the approach to Xmas and my birthday. Hope to see you again soon" - Dave.
"Throughout the demonstration the chef would give lots of background information about using herbs and spices and gave tips that we could use in all types of cooking" - Nik Shah
"I’ve never been good at chopping onions and vegetables usually end up with big chunks so the demo and being shown a technique was very good. I actually made a sauce base that can be used for pasta or bolognaise or even a curry by changing the spice mix - that progress for me" - Martin Chivers.
"Even when I follow a recipe it doesn’t work out, so having hand on experience was a great way to learn to cook. I actually found it very relaxing and good fun! I’d go again to get some more recipes!" - Rupen
Thank you for a really great day of cooking and learning and opening my eyes to the benefits of all the herbs and spices we use. I really had no idea what to expect and I went away really pleased with the day, the fun during the day with the other delegates and what I’d learnt. Really brilliant day. I’ll be back! Dear Kumud,
I wanted to say thank you for making my cookery course such a success. I confess that I had been concerned that I might find myself a little 'out of my depth' but you quickly put me at ease and the day was really enjoyable. You explained everything so clearly and opened my eyes as to how misinformed many of us are about Indian food. I was particularly surprised by the lack of complicated ingredients and the ease of preparation, yet the dishes we made were full of flavour and colour. Thank you once again; I had a wonderful day, with very best wishes, Brenda Berry
Thank you for providing me with an excellent insite into Indian cuisine. The course was very informative and I know both me and Bob really enjoyed ourselves. I have a dinner party tomorrow evening where I will put my new cooking skills to the test. We both hope to attend the follow up course later this year. Tony White Jan 09
I just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful experience at our recent cookery class – we came away having learnt a tremendous amount in such a short space of time and felt previledged to have been in your kitchen I really enjoyed the introduction to the spices and their health values, the tutor was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. The cooking was great fun and built up at a good pace which we could follow, Our tutor kept us all totally enthralled and the time went by far too quickly. Thank you very much. Steve & Julie Mesher
St Helen School Cooking Challenge
I really did enjoy the Cooking challenge. I never really took an interest in cooking but after today I think that will be changing. I have learnt how to make 4 different smoothies, different salads, spaghetti Bolognese and a scrumptious lime tort.
"I didn’t realise smoothies are so easy to make and so healthy! That’s definitely the breakfast for me from now on." Shalini
"I Love desserts so making the Lime Tort by myself was awesome and so easy – I will make this at home for sure."
Natasha – year 10
"I’ve never really cooked before but I had so much fun today and learnt so much about healthy food that tasted brilliant – I didn’t think the two were possible" Ella B - Year 10
We have had a really informative and pleasurable day – thanks very much it has been a great experience I will recommend this to all my friends. Liz Sharp – Orpington Kent
Fantastic – thank you so much for being patient – you’ve given me so much confidence in the kitchen – I just get stuck in. Ellen V
A great way to start the new financial year where meeting targets is going to be a team task - Relying on someone else to be fed is a great motivator to work together Martin Chivers – Verdict solutions – corporate team building event.
Great day, very different and lots of fun, lots to take away from the experience! Thanks very much. Ian Bannister
I learnt a lot about people I thought I knew quite well, cooking is very nurturing and similar to managing people. Eric Pedersen – Bra Boehringer-Ingleheim
