1. Prices

Prices displayed on our website are correct to the best of our knowledge and maintained on a weekly basis. In the event of an order being placed against an accidental incorrect price, we will endeavour to inform the purchaser of the error within seven days of the purchase being made, we will allow the purchaser to either cancel the booking or choose to pay the additional difference in price.

2. Availability

Vouchers are sold with either a date booked at the time of purchase or on an open date basis so that the recipient of the voucher may book according to his or her diary availability at some stage in the future. Our classes are subject to availability and in order allow flexibility with dates or avoid disappointment, we recommend that our customers book in advance and do not organise travel or accommodation until the booking has been confirmed. The Cooking Academy always endeavour to offer dates that are suitable to the customer but cannot guarantee they will be able to get the specific dates they require. Vouchers are valid for 9 months and should you need to exceed that period it is possible to extend the voucher at a cost of £30.00.

3. Event Duration

Details of event duration given on the website and gift vouchers are a guide only. Although classes are structured around the times specified there may be delays, curtailments or a breakdown that is not within our control and in these circumstances The Cooking Academy will not be held liable.

4. Validity

Vouchers are valid for nine months. A voucher will be deemed to be invalid if it is out of date (the expiry date is stated on the gift voucher). If the customer or recipient is unable to utilise the voucher before the expiry date, The cooking Academy are able to issue a voucher extension that will grant them a additional 6 months validity. (Vouchers can only be extended BEFORE they expire, and will be subject to an administration fee of £30.) Once a voucher has been extended it can not be exchanged or refunded.

Once a date is booked then it can only be rescheduled if notice is given a minimum of 28 days in advance. Any cancellations made within the 28-day period may not be rescheduled and is subject to our discretion.

5. Cancellations

In order to cancel or change a booking for whatever reason, you are required to give 28 days notice in writing or by email to – cara@thecookingacademy.co.uk - so that we may reasonably re fill your space with another booking. Booking cancellation with less than 28 days notice will be forfeited. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the class after you have booked a date then you will be contacted, alternative dates will be given or a refund made available. In the event of cancellation The Cooking Academy will not be held liable for the cost of travel expenses, pre-booked accommodation costs or any other costs incurred.

6. Liability

By purchasing or redeeming a cookery voucher, you acknowledge that the experiences are dependent on certain factors beyond our control and agree that we shall not be liable for the cancellation, postponement or alteration of any experience for reasons beyond reasonable control, including weather-related reasons, mechanical failure, location changes or otherwise.

The total liability of The Cooking Academy for any claim whatsoever in connection with a voucher or any cookery class shall be limited to the price paid for the voucher. We have tried to ensure that the descriptions and images used on all marketing material are accurate. However, images are intended to give a general idea of the classes described and do not form any contract between the purchaser and us.

7. Exchanges

Vouchers can be exchanged free of charge if required subject to written confirmation by letter within 28 days of purchase or by email to – cara@thecookingacademy.co.uk. If the substituted cookery class costs more than the original voucher you must pay the difference in costs will be charged. If the exchanged gift voucher is lower in price, we do not refund the difference but will give Academy products (i.e. herbs and spices to the value of the same). To exchange your voucher you must contact us directly with a cover letter, including your contact number, detailing the reason for exchange and any additional payment (if applicable) to: The Cooking Academy, Silverwood London Road, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. 8. Refunds

You have the right to return any goods or vouchers within 7 days of receipt for a full refund however, a £20 pounds administration charge will be applied if these items have already been dispatched.

9. Delivery

All vouchers purchased will be dispatched by First Class Royal Mail. You may request Special Delivery for an additional charge of £8.00. We cannot be held liable for any loss suffered as a result of mail being delayed. The gift voucher is invalid if it has been tampered with or defaced.

10. Competition Prizes, Special Offers & Promotional Vouchers

Vouchers acquired as part of a promotion or competition cannot be exchanged, extended or refunded.

11. Data Protection

Your privacy is our highest priority - We will not disclose your personal details to a third party under any circumstances.
