RECRUITMENT & SELECTION CORPORATE COOKERY ACTIVITIES

Unique Cookery-Based Graduate Recruitment Assessment Profiling:

Identifying Ideal Candidate Traits

Selecting candidates is difficult, and any decision has long-term consequences. Assess potential employees through a unique channel of team interaction helping you to identify the perfect fit for your organisation.

TRADITIONAL RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION METHODS:

Such as interviews and aptitude tests can only go so far in confirming the right candidate for your organisation. This can be:

  • Time-consuming,
  • Expensive,
  • Often fail to discover the true personality and skills of the candidate.

Why choose cooking as your recruitment and selection event of choice?

Our unique cooking-based assessments provide a fun and unexpected hands-on environment in which to observe candidates:

  • Real traits in action.
  • Team work ability under tight deadlines.
  • Leadership.
  • Organisation.
  • Conflict resolution.
  • Perfectionism.

Unlike traditional group assessments, cooking is a genuinely enjoyable activity that allows candidates to revert to their instincts.

Even unsuccessful candidates leave feeling inspired by your company.

With our innovative approach, assessors have a better chance of selecting the right person for the role.

Testing creativity, tenacity, timekeeping, teamwork, leadership etc. We can work with you to observe the team, create specific situational tests, and help assess specific personality types, behaviours, or dynamics within set frameworks.

Our events can last from 2 hours to a full day, depending on your needs. Our typical event includes:

  • Team challenge and menu assessment – get into teams.

  • Stop cooking and judging dishes.
  • Teams sit down to eat together and give group feedback.

All aspects of our events are entirely managed by our team of chefs and event managers; we provide all necessary equipment, ingredients and even a mobile kitchen if required, so you can focus on the assessing.

"Thank you so so much for the most amazing day! I learned so much and literally breathtaking food. My partner absolutely flipped over the food.  He couldn’t believe we made it all.  The naan is fantastic too. Your love of teaching people how to achieve these flavours is lovely, I love your patience and stories that go with the recipes …… Thanks again so much, I look forward to the next time."

"This is my second course (first a Christmas present, second a birthday present), taken at the Cooking Academy - the Full Day Thai Cookery Course.Sarah is a brilliant tutor and delivered the course perfectly. We learned to cook a range of Thai food and got to eat the green curry we prepared for lunch in the beautiful garden. In the afternoon session Sarah took us through the tricky task of making spring rolls and with her guidance, we all produced stable and delicious examples to take home and share. Why do I like the Cooking Academy? Because you get top quality tuition and unlike some other cookery courses where it's a fight to take part as participants exceed the availability of preparation and cooking facilities, the academy teaches small groups and everyone gets to prepare, cook and produce food."

“Thank you so much for sending the additional notes and reading pack over. I’ve been meaning to write to say a massive thank you for the session last Friday. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and learnt so much. You have really inspired me to do more in the kitchen generally and I’ve been thinking a lot about the ingredients I use and what goodness (or not!) they contain.I’ve been experimenting with the oat and berry smoothie and will made the egg muffins over the weekend for the kids. The turmeric latte has been a big hit with my daughter. I will definitely be returning in the new year to do another event/workshop”
