Following the latest government update on 22nd February 2021, we hope to reopen from 12th April 2021, if the national guidelines that are set out are achieved.
We will be contacting everyone with bookings between now and 11th April 2021 over the next couple of weeks, please bear with us as we work through the long list to offer you new dates. We will also direct you to our website where you will be able to choose a date that suits you (does not need to be the same cuisine). If we can assist in any way please respond to our email or emailing us at cook@thecookingacademy.co.uk
We will then send you an email confirmation for your new booking, please make sure you reply to this email immediately, so we know you have received it and read the contents.
When we are operational again for our in person classes the health and safety of our team and customers at The Cooking Academy continues to be of utmost importance to us.
Based on previous government advice, the steps we previously put in place included the following and we will review as latest guidance is issued:
We continue to also offer our online classes both for customers and corporate clients, please click here for more customer virtual classes and click here for corporate events.
Once again thank you for your continuing patience, understanding and support during these challenging times.
We hope to welcome you back very soon.
Do we have to wear a face mask? As per government guidelines it will be mandatory for you to wear a face mask on arrival until you are seated at your island where you can remove your mask as you will be eating and drinking throughout your experience.
Will hand sanitiser be provided? Yes we will have hand sanitiser available for everyone to use on their cooking islands.
Will we need to wear gloves? No, we ask that you do not wear gloves. As suggested by the WHO, the use of hand sanitiser and washing of hands is more effective in the prevention of spreading the virus rather than wearing gloves.
Does everyone have to social distance? The kitchen is laid out in order for participants to respect social distancing rules. Our chefs will go round during the class to help customers while maintaining these guidelines to the best of their ability.
Will you be taking any precautionary tests on arrival? We will be checking everyone’s temperature with our contactless thermometer on arrival in order to limit the risk of spreading the virus. Please be aware that if your temperature is above 37.5C we will not be able to allow you into the cookery school.
