Indian cooking classes are where our story began here at The Cooking Academy. Our founder, Kumud Gandhi has amassed years of experience in cooking Indian cuisine along with an Indian heritage and coming from a long line of spice merchants. This background means that you will experience high quality and authentic Indian cookery classes at The Cooking Academy.
In all classes except the ‘Mogul Emperors Feast’ class we start with a spice trail presenting all of the spices we will be using during the class and moving on to how to use them in a range of spice blends and easy everyday meals. Even if you already have some experience in cooking Indian food we are confidant there will be plenty to learn, and if you are a beginner we will make sure you have a solid foundation whilst making the class fun and relaxed.
We will demystify Indian cooking and by the end of a class, you will be ready to take on any good Indian cook! Besides the knowledge of authentic dishes you’ll have a lot more confidence with many other cookery techniques and short cuts in the kitchen to make life easier when cooking.
We have a range of group classes available whether your after a class covering a range of Indian dishes, a class dedicated to curries or for the season Indian cook our Mogul Emperors Feast class and more.
We also offer one to one and private classes which can be tailored to exact requirements. We will provide everything from the ingredients to the equipment and chef. Contact us directly to discuss a private class.
Most of our Indian classes are suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those with gluten intolerance.
All classes are held at our Rickmansworth venue, WD3 1JR
