Our one day Intermediate cookery class has been designed to follow on from the popular Introduction to Cooking class. We know from past experience and delegate feedback that many of our students want to increase their repertoire of recipes and gain additional skills to bolster their confidence, before advancing on to one of our many other one day classes.
The Intermediate class bridges this gap and encourages you to develop a lifelong enthusiasm for cooking. The class is almost entirely hands-on and is designed to teach you further essentials of cookery. This truly is a must have for those seeking to develop their skills and wanting to understand how easy and gratifying cooking really is. As always we keep our classes small, enabling our students to benefit from maximum attention from our chef. The pace of the class is relaxed in order for you to feel confident that you have mastered a recipe or technique before we move on, with plenty of time for questions.
Building on the skills you will have acquired from the introductory class you will learn how to pan fry, roast meats and make a white sauce. In addition we will teach you how to develop new ideas using the recipes as a jumping off point and how to trust your most important asset- your palate.
By the end of the session you will have further developed your skills, your confidence and your repertoire of recipes and be ready to rattle those pots and pans!
Class Menu:- The ultimate mac and cheese, burgers four ways with street-cart onions, roasted Keralan chicken curry, luxury fish pie, paprika chicken with rosemary roasties
