Used all over the world but indigenous to the Mediterranean, dried fennel seed is an aromatic, anise-flavoured spice, green in colour when fresh and dried in careful conditions.
These seeds are liberally used in Kashmiri Pandit, Gujarati and Bengali cooking as well as being a key ingredient in Chinese Five Spice. They’re also used extensively in Lebanese, Syrian and other Middle Eastern cooking in omelettes, salads and fish dishes.
Our Fennel retains its strong green hue and is sourced from Rajasthan region of India.
