Founded by Plant-Based News in 2017, this campaign has proved popular in helping people switch to plant-based milk alternatives. From soya to rice, cashews to coconut there’s so many options to choose from.
If you are hesitant then there are plenty reasons to sway you.
- It’s better for the animals- switching to plant-based milks will reduce the unnecessary suffering and stress placed onto the dairy cows.
- It’s better for selection- there’s so much choice out there compared to animal-based milks. Consumers are free to choose from a much wider range of variety.
- It’s better for you- Lactose intolerance is more common than you think, cows’ milk is produced for cows not humans! Plant-based milk have also been proven to help with obesity, heart disease and some types of cancer.
- It’s better for the planet- Animal agriculture is one of the top drivers of climate change, make the switch and this can be one step towards reducing your impact on the planet. Animal- based milk uses considerably more land space not only to keep the diary cows but also the crops needed to feed those cows.
