Healthy Apple & Oat Crumble (Gluten-Free)

Ingredients: 

  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced thinly 
  • 2 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 
  • 2 tbsp honey (optional) 
  • 50 g almond flour 
  • 50 g oats (gluten-free if required) 
  • 25 g coconut oil or unsalted butter, melted 
  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup (optional, for sweetness) 
  • 4 tbsp hazelnuts – roughly chopped 

Method: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan 160°C), gas mark 4. 
  2. Toss the apple slices with cinnamon, lemon juice, and honey. Place in an ovenproof dish. 
  3. In a bowl, combine almond flour, oats, and melted coconut oil. Mix until crumbly. 
  4. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples. 
  5. Sprinkle the hazelnuts on top of the crumble mix  
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and bubbling. 
  7. Serve warm, optionally with Greek yoghurt.
