Black pepper, as we know it, is actually green peppercorns in origination that ripen to black once picked from the vine trees. The spiciness of black pepper comes from the chemical piperine. Pepper is the worlds most traded spice and is indigenous to south India.
Our black pepper is ground to just the right level to release more of the essential oils at the point of eating and is sourced from the Malabar Coast known for their excellent terrain for growing high quality spices.
