Otherwise known as the ‘Indian date’, Tamarind is a common ingredient in Indian cooking – it is used in almost everything. Tamarind sauce has a delicious sweet and tangy taste, perfect as an accompanying dipping sauce or used when cooking.
We use this ingredient frequently on our cookery classes. It adds depth of flavour to our Massaman Chicken curry on our Chiang Mai class or brilliant served with Hando on our Indian Vegetarian class.
